Castle View House Bed & Breakfast - Ballylongford

The room was clean, but the mattress was way too hard for my back.

The view was amazing, though it was a long drive to find dinner.

The food was outstanding and there were a huge variety of dishes in the menu. Our rooms were delightful and comfy with castle view, rural views, for example. Its location was indeed stunning and marvellous and only 5 minutes walk from Carrig island.

Our room was delightful and quiet with a view on the castle. Location: the hotel was adjacent to tralee, and the castle across the bridge. It also was close to a harbour.

The views from the hotel, especially on sunny days, are excellent, and the benches in the yard provide a perfect spot to relax. Watching the tide come in and out while enjoying a wonderful traditional Irish breakfast added a unique charm to the stay.

The hotel could use some serious tidying up and modernizing, with overgrown gardens and rooms that showed signs of neglect. The en-suite bathroom left much to be desired, with cleanliness issues and a shower that had dark stains, giving a less than cute impression overall.

The location offered amazing views. The self-serve breakfast featured good traditional Irish products, showcasing local flavors. The access road was quite rough was good, and the lack of enough parking created complications when needing to leave. While the hosts were generally friendly and helpful, the overall cleanliness of the hotel could use significant improvement.

The scenery is postcard-perfect, and the night sky offers fine views of the stars.

Great spot for a group getaway! The views are fine, and we enjoyed a really good breakfast. We cycled to Ballybunion and the nearby cycle trails with a refreshing experience and beautiful countryside views. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful retreat with friends!

One minor issue was the rough access road, making entry a bit cumbersome.

Good place with amenities like wi-fi, free parking, and luggage storage. The staff even helped me get a sim card on my first stay, which I really appreciated. Don't miss the awesome breakfast. It's a must! I'm coming back for sure!

The gardens offered a magical view. Breakfast was good, with homegrown ingredients adding charm. Patricia and Gareth were warm and cute.

The kids loved exploring the castle ruins nearby with a fun adventure for the whole family. We also enjoyed the benches in the yard, perfect for relaxation while sipping good coffee. Hosts Garret and Patricia were good.

My children wanted more kid-friendly activities.

It was just a strong match for a quick layover in Ballylongford with best value for money ratio. The host was friendly and even shared his unique connection to the castle across the street, allowing me to explore it. Be sure to take advantage of the benches in the yard for some relaxation.

The couple who owns the hotel exudes warmth and hospitality. The room, while not spacious, was spotlessly clean and offered a comfortable stay. Breakfast showcased fresh, local ingredients, with the traditional Irish options looking particularly appetizing. The surrounding views were postcard-perfect.

The room felt a little tight for two people, which may be an issue for those who prefer more space.

The Double Room was small but comfy, and the view of the nearby Carrigafoyle Castle was a nice touch. The bed and pillows were super cozy, and the bathroom was spacious. I loved the clean vibe of the place. It felt cute overall. Just wish the mattress was a bit softer.
